Sitting high up in the hills of Manuel Antonio, The Tree House has one of the best views overlooking the Pacific coastline. Sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio Park are visible from the kitchen, living areas, pool, decks and almost every room in the house. The vacation home has a Balinese inspiration to it, and was built with all locally-sourced materials. You will certainly enjoy this spectacular structure on your next vacation to Costa Rica.
The kitchen and dining area are open communal spaces, inviting quality time with friends and family. The open-air living room provides a place to sink into the over-sized, well-appointed furnishings and cushions.
The veranda has several lounge chairs and chaises for a relaxing day poolside. There’s a game room and a home screening room for in-house entertainment on the lower level.All six bedrooms are air-conditioned, with en-suite bathrooms. All have wide views of the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest. Each bedroom has artisan hand-carved stone or glazed earthenware custom details, custom stonework and tile, exotic hardwoods and original art from around the world.

House rules
- Check-in is no earlier than 3pm
- No smoking inside the villa
- Due to limited parking and as a courtesy to the neighbors, please consult with the office regarding any parties you plan for more than the members of your group
Weddings
There is a site fee that applies if having an event like a wedding at one of our homes. The amount of the site fee depends on the amount of people attending the event. The site fee can be reduced $250 for each additional home rented from a select group of our homes. When there are chef services included in the rental rate, they do not apply to an event like a wedding, the service can be provided for the event also for an additional fee. The site fee does include additional staff to assist with moving furniture and a maid for 4 hours during the event to help keep the bathrooms and general area picked up. The site fee does not cover the cost of any equipment rentals such as chairs or tables nor does it include coordination services. The site fee will be paid with the final rental payment 30 days prior to arrival. If additional guests sign on to attend the event after the final payment has been paid the additional fees will be paid upon arrival.
Chef services
- A private Chef can be provided to you for a daily fee:
- $140 for 1 meal
- $180 for 2 meals
- These fees are for up to 10 people, please add $15 for each additional person
- We will send you a sample menu that can be customized to your tastes
- The cost of food and drinks is additional
Occupancy policy
- Occupancy is based on 2 people per room until all bedrooms are rented
- For each guest above 12 in a 6 bedroom rental there is an additional fee:
- $75 a night in high season and holiday weeks
- $61 a night in mid season
- $47 a night in low season
- Bedrooms not rented will not be offered to anyone else, the property is always private to just your group.

Cancellations
To reserve this home we will send you a rental agreement email. This will hold the reservation for 3 days for us to receive your reply email agreeing to the terms. Once we have the reply email we will give you another 7 days for us to receive the first 50% deposit. The remaining 50% payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
There is a damage protection fee of $120 due with the final payment.
For payments we can accept VISA/MasterCard or wire transfers.For any charges made to a VISA/MasterCard there will also be a 6% surcharge.
For any wire transfer that we receive there is a $40 flat fee.

Absolutely spectacular in every way!! The house is better than the pictures. Our group of 14 spent the week vacationing in a postcard! I cannot say enough about the house and staff at Escape Villas. The house is perfect for a large family or a travel group. All bedrooms are beautiful and have en-suite baths. Theres plenty of seating, and space throughout the four floors for large groups. The view from the open air living area is a postcard view! Monkeys and other wildlife visited daily. We’ll definitely come back to the Treehouse Villa.

We just returned from staying 5 nights at the Tree House! There were 8 adults there for a 50th birthday celebration. As had been mentioned in some many reviews, the photos do not do any justice to the house. It is so much better in person. We worked with our concierge, Valerie, to arrange for chef services (Marco is incredible) on each day for breakfast and dinner. During the day, we visited the beach, did waterfall hikes and just walked into the small town. So much to do and each day we ended up back at the house to enjoy the pool and everything else this fantastic house has to offer. Our local host, Ricky, helped us move our plans around as the local beach is wonderful and we wanted to do another day in the warm ocean water. The open air concept of the house is wonderful in rain and sun. We never had to worry about the weather even in the occasional thunderstorm that popped up in the afternoon. So, getting to the animals - WOW! Monkeys, monkeys and more monkeys. I think it took a day for them to realize we were at the house and once they found out they stopped by multiple times a day. At times, there were dozens of them hanging around and just trying to figure out how to steal little things from us. Luckily we became adept at putting things away very quickly so we didn't lose anything. The last day, they various monkey families just hung out most of the day at the house and the group loved the company. Except for during dinner when we had to politely encourage them to leave. All in all, one of the best all around vacations we have ever been on and we're already talking about a return trip. This villa truly made our trip perfect from beginning to end!

There is too much to write so I'm going to make this short and sweet. The Tree House is exactly as it looks in photos and even more breathtaking and amazing in person! Fernando helps you book, and then passes to Valerie who helps you plan, and then passes you to Ricky who is the onsite host. It has 6 bedrooms - a master, three other great rooms (would be considered the best rooms at a hotel), and two bottom smaller but still upscale rooms. The best parts: Having a full house day to lounge and utilize the house without other activities, Chef Jorge & Kim to cook at the house, Kara's Adventure company where we did the waterfall, hanging bridges, and local home lunch (best part by far!). Things I wish I had known: sunset is at 5:50 most of the year so consider that when making "great view restaurant" evening reservations. You CAN walk places, but it's hilly and we were thankful we had a car. Spa services were good but some of the masseuses were not friendly (maybe they were having a bad day). The 3 hour drive from San Jose airport makes it a really long travel day. There is a 1 hour drive to the hike, half of which is bumpy backroads and some people got car sick (bring Dramamine). Oh, and bring way more cash than you think you need, especially if you do excursions and dinner, and everyone needs a tip. You pay in all cash so bring LOTS. (There are ATMs). But in general, truly spectacular location and unforgettable vacation!
