Casa
Fantastica is one of Manuel Antonio's most secluded and exclusive
homes. There are 8 bedrooms (2 Master suites plus 6
comfortable bedrooms) with 8 full and 3 half bathrooms. The ocean views
from the pool and balconies are simply spectacular. The atmosphere of
"tropical modern luxury" envelops you as you enter the
home. Private
Chef services are included with the cost of food
being additional. Constructed in 2009, the owners of this resort-style
home have designed and built some of the finest and most luxurious
homes in the area.
Location: This
very private location is all residential. The home is nestled in the
lush green forest, secluded from other houses. You can hear the
soothing sounds of the surf from the beach. The home lies just south of
Quepos, where a beautiful marina has recently been built.
View:
The view is beyond compare - with the rainforest
below you and the Pacific ocean and beach in front of you.
Since the home is so secluded, there are no obstructing buildings or
homes - nothing but the beauty of nature laid out before you.
Wildlife: The
variety and abundance of wildlife around the villa will amaze you every
day. The Titi and White Faced monkeys will entertain you, and the
Howler monkeys will serenade you. Exotic butterflies and tropical birds
spread their wings in the lush foliage and gardens that were created
with wildlife habitats in mind. Other small mammals such as kinkachoos
and sloths can also be spotted in the acre of land that is maintained
by Casa Fantastica's owner.
The House: This
spacious10,000 square-foot house features two wings with a total of 8
bedrooms on 3 levels. The home is constructed using the finest natural
materials including exotic woods, limestone, custom tiles and terrazzo,
as well as many functional and artful uses of glass. The Grand Salon is
on the entry level. This expansive space is perfect for large parties,
yet is very comfortable and welcoming. It features a gourmet kitchen,
indoor dining for 12, outdoor dining for 12, two outdoor living rooms,
BBQ, large bar and two half baths. The large infinity edge
pool features a 20-person jacuzzi. The upper level has several covered
balconies, the spectacular master suite and 3 master bedrooms. The game
room, gym and cinema are on the lower level, along with 3 luxury
bedrooms and 4 and 1/2 baths.
The Kitchen: The
kitchen features restaurant-quality appliances such as six-burner
stove, large microwave and oven, dishwasher, 3 sinks, additional drink
fridge and 20-bottle wine chiller. Beautiful woodwork frames the
granite countertops. From the large sinks, you can see the pool and
double-size BBQ as well as the green valley and ocean beyond. The
kitchen has a full complement of dishes, flatware and glasses, making
it perfect for catering large parties.
The Pool: The
pool, 18 meters long and 10 meters wide, is one of the largest in the
country. The shallow water of the pool forms a "beach" that allows easy
entry into the pool. Comfortable lounge chairs ring the pool beneath
the cooling fronds of a 30-foot palm tree. The warm-water jacuzzi seats
20 and flows into the adjacent pool. Relax and enjoy the wonderful view
of Manuel Antonio National Park and the small Pacific islands dotting
the ocean.
The Dining Room: The
dining room has spectacular glass walls that seem to disappear,
allowing the views of the pool, ocean and garden to flow into the room.
The elegant granite dining table seats 12 in luxurious leather and wood
chairs. There are two similar round tables near the pool. These tables
seat an additional twelve guests and can be relocated to accommodate
large groups.
Outdoor Living
Rooms: The
most welcoming rooms in the house are the two covered outdoor living
rooms, situated to enjoy the cool ocean breezes and soothing motion of
ceiling fans. Just outside the grand salon with its expansive wall of
windows, the oversized sofa and comfortable lounge chairs look out on
the crystal clear pool and are shaded by the high bamboo ceiling.
Crossing to the western side of the home, the other shaded living room
is between the "beach" and the grand salon.
The Salon: The
spacious, 1,000 sq. ft room has dramatic window walls that slide away
to reveal the gorgeous view and allow the cool ocean breezes to flow
throughout the area. It provides ample space to host a large group with
its 4-person marble table, 7 club chairs, 4 sofas, and 15-foot bar with
beverage fridge and seating for 8. For entertainment, the area features
a flat-screen TV, stereo with iPod dock and DVD. In the front of the
room, windows 25 feet wide open up to the pool and Pacific. Another
side is high above the jungle floor and looks out through the windows
into the lush forest.
Master Suite: The
master suite is on the upper level of the eastern wing. The leather,
king-size bed features luxurious 500-count cotton sheets. The room also
has a large bar with mini-kitchen, vanity, dressing area and security
safe. While relaxing in lounge chairs on the large balcony, you can
take in the panoramic view of the beach, ocean and rainforest. Exotic
details of the room include large bamboo double doors, frosted glass
walls and travertine marble accents.
Master Bath: The
spa-style master bathroom is quite spectacular. The view of ocean and
beach is welcomed into the room through a large glass wall on the
western side. Hanging from the bamboo ceiling, the platform shower has
a large rain showerhead. The base of the shower is smooth green glass
edged with pebbles, allowing the water to flow gently downward.
Turquoise glass tiles form the sides of the large jacuzzi tub.
Luxurious bathrobes and fragrant tropical soaps are also supplied.
Three Master
Bedrooms: Three
large bedrooms on the top level of the in the western wing have large
closets, king-size beds, marble and limestone baths with jacuzzi tubs
and showers. They share lovely outdoor terraces with ocean or jungle
views.
Three Luxury
Bedrooms: There
are three more spacious jungle view bedrooms on the lower level on the
western side. These rooms, 20 feet above the jungle floor, are perfect
for spotting the visiting monkeys, birds and butterflies. Two of these
bedrooms have king beds. The other has two twin beds and a day bed. Two
of the twins can be combined into a king bed. The bathrooms have
beautiful tiled showers and two have unique waterfall sinks. All
bedrooms feature quality linens and amenities.
Game
Room: Everyone
will find something to enjoy in the large game room. The play area
includes a regulation-size pool table, ping pong, darts, air hockey and
foosball. A long bench seat is framed by the view of the ocean and
jungle. The glass bottom pond above the pool enhances the atmosphere of
the room with its soft light.
Gym: The
500-square foot gym has large windows and two mirrored walls. Equipment
includes a treadmill, 2 stationary bikes, universal machine, weights, a
massage table and open space for yoga, Pilates or private training.
Cinema: The
cinema has comfortable seating for 30, a digital projector and sound
system, large fridge and microwave oven. Movies can be borrowed from
the Escape Villas office, or rented in Quepos.
Staff: You
will be pampered by our dedicated staff, including two housekeepers 6
days a week, gardener, pool man and handyman on call at all times. The
Escape Villas staff can arrange local transportation, tours, spa
treatments and will be happy to share their knowledge of Manuel Antonio
and assist you in any way they can to make your vacation at Casa
Fantastica truly memorable.
